Jan. 15th, 2004 11:08 pmOn meeting Queen Elizabeth, George W Bush turned to her and said:
"As I'm the President, I'm thinking of changing how my great country is referred to, and I'm thinking that it should be a Kingdom."
The Queen replied, "I'm sorry, Mr Bush, but to be a Kingdom, you have to have a King in charge - and you're not a King."
George Bush thought a while, then said:
"How about a Principality, then?"
To which the Queen replied:
"Again, to be a Principality you have to be a Prince - and you're not a Prince, Mr Bush."
George thought long and hard before coming up with:
"How about an Empire, then?"
The Queen, getting a little annoyed now, replied:
"Sorry, Mr Bush, but to be an Empire you must have an Emperor in charge - and you are not an Emperor.
Before George W could utter another word, the Queen said:
"Besides, I think you're doing quite nicely as a country."

Date: 2004-01-16 11:42 am (UTC)What's even greater is that I had Blazin Squad on TOTP on MUTE, and John Cage's 4'33" (the silent piece) on Radio 3...and guess which one was better?

Date: 2004-01-18 09:48 am (UTC)hey emma loo i read some of your fan fic! i love through the keyhole its so rude and kool ;) VERY well written. you have an excellent gift for managing to be v.rude but subtle - sticking to the r-rating constraints. ive written some fic which i was inspired by yours to publish (warning: it's crap.) but some of it is SO graphic im guna have to tone it down before i post all of it hahaha...

Date: 2004-01-18 10:21 am (UTC)how long have you been writing for, huh?
and i do read non-slash fiction... sometimes...
besides, willow/oz is purdy. i'll forgive its heterosexuality just this once :p
Re: heehee
Date: 2004-01-18 11:10 am (UTC)have been writing the buffy fic since the summer, methinks. legolas fic i just started on friday *grins* needs reviews tho.
the buffy fic is looong! ive only published about half of it! the other half involves graphic SEX so i have to change it before i can put it on poopy old R-rated only ff.net. *sulks*
it was hot, i tell you. now will have to simply add something tasteful yet succint, like "and then he ravished her in manner of hairy primate".
hmm. think it lacks punch, somehow.
Re: heehee
Date: 2004-01-18 11:18 am (UTC)and anyway, ff.net is hardly what i'd call...umm...moderated. you can totally get away with being rather smutty. just don't be completely pornographic & you'll probably be safe.
i have written het fic - just, involved cross-dressing on both parts. predictable? moi?
hehehe.
Re: heehee
Date: 2004-01-18 11:26 am (UTC)they are TOTALLY pornographic woops. but so much fun ;) *sigh* will have to work on moderations.
it's scary how my porn writing is way better than my actual writing...
me, a disatisfied virgin? how could this be?
ps am going to read the aragorn cross-dressing fic VERY soon. am strangely intrigued...
