this evening:
Oct. 10th, 2003 10:13 pmsqueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
can you tell that we won house music?
i knew that alex's solo was something phenomenal, but was surprised we won the ensemble when up against franklin and eliot - both such pretty songs, and done so well (i got all shivery during a certain solo)!
mrs gould got quite over-excited (especially considering that she is acting Baylis housemistress!) and said that eliot only won the unison because it would have been cruel to let them win nothing; but i do disagree with her. i personally think our unison wasn't as good as eliot, hepworth or franklin.
but, at the end of the day, it's like the quidditch world cup - kingsley won, despite the fact that eliot 'caught the snitch', as it were, by winning the unison.

Date: 2003-10-11 03:38 pm (UTC)Yah, she was nice, she just didn't seem all that musical in her comments (Eliot: "Fun!!!"- what?).
Yippee yah yah yippee yippee yah... as soon as she said "Kinglsey" I first of all screamed lots and scared my first years, and then the switch flicked in my head and went straight to "house drama mode [extended DVD version]" and scared the shit out of me. Scareful.
