• You log on to the library catalogue to check the year of publication of a book you need to reference, rather than walking across the room to look inside the cover

(Mostly this is a GIP. The two women in my icon are companions of the Eighth Doctor. One is a shy queer sci-fi geek with random bleached strands in her hair who probably listened to a little bit too much David Bowie growing up. The other is an androgynous aesthete secret agent from the fin-de-siecle, with killer cheekbones and an ego you could bounce bricks off. I wonder if you can tell why I think that their canonical kiss is the best thing ever?)
