You know those times when you get really angry, but you know it's unjustifiable to be angry at drunk people / depressed people / honest mistakes, so you have no outlet for it?

And you have a stinking cold and all your orange juice is gone?

Yeah, that.

Unlike the other two conditions, I find it perfectly justifiable to be angry with drunk people, it's entirely their fault that they got themselves into a state where they are incapable of controlling/anticipating the ramifications of their actions. I actually find myself more angry with things people do when they're drunk than when they're sober.

Dude, isn't that what LiveJournal is for?

It's justifiable to be angry about anything if that's how you feel. Unfortunately there is very little point in expressing your anger to drunk people. Hang in there on the juice front. Soon you will have juice.

You are psychic, my dear.. [livejournal.com profile] ktroo85 turned up with juice and now I feel a bit better. Am now just waiting for hungover people with a strange kind of expectant glee..

Your juice and enjoyment of your glee are the very least you deserve. I bet you have never had anyone say exactly those words to you before.

As I barely drink, I'm often the only sober person around: and yeah, sometimes drunk people make me angry. If they're people you know, at least you can get petty revenge by talking loudly during their hangover, and reminding them of their actions / utterances...you can get great blackmail material from drunk people ;-)

On the other hand, they may refuse to believe you. My former friend, the uber-Goth, completely denied that she ever bit my cheek while I was helping her stagger home one night.

I still have a scar on my arm from a similar incident with a barmaid...

Wait, so the barmaid injured you while she was drunk? Huh.

May I ask what the hell is going on in your icon - is it quoting something?

It's justifiable to feel angry at any point, because your own emotions are your own business and not something that you can be blamed for.

As far as finding an outlet: that depends on what you're trying to do: ensure that the person who made you angry realises that they did so (and thus doesn't do it again) or catharsise and make yourself feel better by venting.

Both are important things to do, but the second can be done by lots of other means (write angsty poetry / post to LJ / play a violent computer game / exercise / punch a pillow / etc) that don't involve the risk of hurting the feelings of a drunk/depressed/honestly mistaken person.
