Back from my first apmt with Uni Counselling Service. The internal story-schema of my life has regained a large amount of narrative form - my self-script is feeling less Lynch-like - and does it matter whether that's "true" or "real" or "honest" when it means I will hopefully be more able to function?

I'm seeing her again next week, and might be attending some group about "creative management of stress".

Even though I'm sure all we did was talk about me (right back to growing up and applying to Oxford and things) I somehow feel a lot calmer about a lot of things we didn't really touch on. I want to think it's something anyone could have done - that I could have done for myself - but maybe I'll just accept that it's not such a bad thing that it came to this; she gets paid, I get to feel better, and the Story of Emma starts to have punctuation again.

I know that I can measure my phrases in such a way as to make them pleasing to me - I've also been complimented by someone who's opinion I value very highly on my use of punctuation. Perhaps these things add up to something? I know I have a penchant for well-formed phrases, perhaps that is what's coming across...
