Not to mention, it would only be the two gay men bringing up said child. The child would never ever ever be exposed to any other adult influences. Cos, you know, parents just keep their children in total isolationa nd bring them up to be just like them. That's why no straight conservative parents EVER have gay kids. Hmm, I've heard even worse about that - the sons will turn out gay and effiminate without men to teach them about (completely natural, ingrained and unavoidable) way to be a MAN! Without true men teaching them how to grunt and hit their chests correctly, they might end up just like girls.

Which is why gender roles are completely immobile and can be clearly seen and should never be blurred. In case the little boys get confused and stop sticking to them.

(Which reminds me of the rule against brightly dyed hair at my high school - we weren't allowed it because it might encourage others to dye their hair brightly. Forbidden because it might encourage others into "deviant" behavior, but without any need to explain why this behavior was deviant/wrong)

How about that for hypocritical - a service that won't allow queer men to donate blood, wants people to raise money for it by cross-dressing - lauched by a popular footballer in a tiana and lots of glitter. Lovely, some day i would like you to sit me down and take me through all the academic debates about gay couples having children, because at the moment I'm such a terrible debater I can never get my point across in the face of angry middle class who 'are not homophopic but think that it is incredibly selfish of gay people to adopt or have thier own children, or for single mothers to become pregnant by sperm donars etc.' I'd feel happier if I had it clearly laid out with statistics and counter metaphores on hand.
