tonight, i got home so tired and so not-with-it that i managed to burn beans. to burn a load of baked beans onto the bottom of a pan, and to almost eat something that was still frozen in the centre. (sushi_radical, are you sure you want cooking lessons from me?!)

Lord I know the feeling. I'm off now or I'll start crying, I'm that tired (15 hours out of an estimated 40 I should have got over the past week...)

i took the jam roly poly out of the oven and put it down on the hob today. which sounds ok, except i'd been heating up the custard on it, so the plastic container thing melted and the jam started escaping out of the bottom... sometimes i think cooking is more about having enough sleep and enough space in your kitchen than anything else. delia smith wouldn't be as good if there was never space to put a pan down.

Hehe, I wasn't any better, I sat in the garden for ten minutes, then went upstairs and fell asleep for 12 hours straight... Biking in that heat, not good.
