I would like to retract all previous bitching about today's lack of LARP.

Ashley lives on a street 20 minutes' walk from Shotover, where we LARP.

And today, at 2pm, when I would have been out in the woods if there were a LARP going on, the view from Ashley's window looked like this:





Those yellow lines, that you can barely see through the water? They're bright yellow. There are white parking markings that you can't even see through the water. It is deeper than the kerb and washing over the pavement.

we're about to go out and get beer... and we've got our kayak and our aqualung packed so I think you can rest assured we'll be OK. I'm a little worried about Ashley, though, she refuses to wear a lifejacket because she says it clashes with her hair...

But you SHOULD wear colours that clash! How else will they learn to put aside their differences and get along, long enough to discover time-travel and form a politically aware post-punk rock band in the 1980s?

Upstate N.Y. So I guess you're not getting the edge of Hurracaine Beryl like we are. Isn't it odd that both the UK and US are gettting heat waves ad now aprently rain storms as well.

Woodtock riverRoad was quite fun to drive down earlier. Normally I like to make big splashes through water. Given this was about 6 inches deep and covered the pavements so I couldn't see where the sides of the road was I decided to take it easy. :) Still splashed a bit though. :)
