fscking cybermen! torchwood! daleks!! of course torchwood had to be this series' "bad wolf", of course torchwood had to be the bad guys... because no-one would expect that, they're all waiting for the doctor-who-like (implied: good guys) spin-off!

but, can there ever be too much beings-in-metal-suits? there seems to be absolutely no way to deafeat the cybermen without some kind of go-back-in-time-and-stop-them-breaking-in causality-fuck that i'm pretty sure DW won't want to deal with. i mean, obviously, time travel at all is pretty dodgy, i mean, what does it mean that we've seen london in 2012? was that only a possible-future?

oh how i love time travel theory. 's why HP3 was always my fave...

But the people spilling over from the over world like Mickey seem reasonably good at fighting cybermen - well they're still alive aren't they and I'd guess it's been a while since we last saw them...? Also, I reckon we're gonna get a "celebrity death match" daleks v. cybermen first, and then Dr will deal with whatever bits of metal are left standing at the end.

I kind of just assumed Torchwood were baddies, or at least misguided when they were set up to get rid of the Dr (ep 2) and when they blew up the ship-of-creatures-I-can't-spell-who-were-retreating (Xmas special).

However, my big issue with this ep is: "But but but daleks were your twist at the end of the LAST series. Using them again is like cheating. Do something new. Meh."

Otherwise good viewing.

was discussing it with people after watching it last night, reckoning that if some of the Daleks could survive the Time War in a Voidship and the Time Lords knew about the Void, maybe some of them have managed the same...
