Amen, but --

the movement's borders don't end with 'queer', either. Unless I'm misunderstanding something. But if it's a question of to whom to extend the various rights and opportunities that people are marching and campaigning for, I have to point out (again, as I've been pointing out for ages) that there are people marching and campaigning with you who already enjoy (some of) those rights and opportunities, and don't think it's at all appropriate that they aren't universal. Put another way: there are straight people on your side, and they're people, too. Put another another way: if the goal is mainstream acceptance, it's tragically ironic to marginalise one's allies.

oh yes. i don't think that the OP meant to marginalise anyone, thought, that's what i liked about it.

i most certainly will come celebrate your victory, if you'll tell me where to be and when... i'm free all of friday evening, practically my only free evening for the next month, so that's very fortuitous timing!

no, i understand. i try very hard not to be exclusionary, and it's not something i'd ever consciously propogate.

and you most certainly can; my number has not changed, but my handset has, so i can actually make calls where both conversational participants can hear and be heard!
