Apr. 22nd, 2006 10:32 ammurr. slight financial cock-up leaves me over my overdraft limit for a few days, so please don't invite me to do anything that costs any money / call in debts as I have a fiver to last me until tuesday (yes, I know I could go to the bank and sort it out today, but I'm being eaten by the revision demon).
apparently there are people in the world who didn't know this, so just in case you're one of them:
I am taking finals at the moment because Oxford hates Psychologists
am not feeling particularly sparkly. today I'm not going LARPing because I have to revise. and my laptop is more than a little screwed. and did I mention the part where I haven't got any money and have to take finals?
other things, also, not quite articulable in this journal - if they're articulable at all.
am just feeling a little joyless at the moment. normal service will be resumed soon, I am sure.
for just a few hours after 4pm on Monday, between the end of my exams and the beginning of Wyrd Sisters rehearsals... OK, so I have to learn lines for half of the play in that time, and I'll only have £5 to celebrate with, but for those 4 hours I can pretend I haven't sold my life to commitments other than My Own Happiness (inc. that of those I care about).
ETA: Katy brought me muffins. She is a Good Person. She is Robbie Ross tipping his hat to Wilde as he's led through the jeering crowd.

Date: 2006-04-22 03:33 pm (UTC)Anyhoo, I was going to propose post-exam drinking in the Mitre, for entirely selfish reasons of its being Oscar Wilde's favourite pub, if it would please you to join?

Date: 2006-04-24 12:35 am (UTC)I am being entirely hypocritical unfortunately as work forbids me from coming to Oxford on Monday. By the time you have final finals perhaps I will have a job with room to take days off for such purposes. Until such time, I fear I am a crap mother, my dear. Perhaps your oules father will be more obliging, since he is in Oxford?
