Jun. 8th, 2010 03:11 pmSome absolute fucker has stolen my bike.
In the ~45 minutes that I was sitting in Greens having lunch with
rozk. It was chained to a bike rack. And then it wasn't.
Bikes get stolen at night, they get stolen from lonely places, they get stolen when you don't lock them securely.
What could I have done to stop a securely-locked bike getting stolen from a busy street in the middle of the day?
Nothing. So I am going to refuse to be upset about it (frantic phone calls to
crouchinglynx aside) and instead focus on this online library guide, which is going to be awesome. And then maybe think about going to Oxford Cycle Workshop tomorrow about buying something that looks knackered, but is actually just as zippy as this one was.
The thing is, at £25 for each week that I had this bike, I am quite comfortable that I got value for money.
