La Vie Boheme
Jun. 2nd, 2010 11:19 pmNever age. Never die. Live for ever in that one last white-hot moment, when the crowd screamed. When every note was a heartbeat. Burn across the sky.
So the first night of Rent went rather well. It's almost like we've been rehearsing every day for a month or something.
I've been in Oxford for six years, now, in which time I've seen and/or been in Playhouse shows, Moser shows, BT shows, OFS shows, O'Reilly shows, garden shows, nightclub shows, even one memorable show in the Warden's lodgings in Exeter.. and I've never heard a crowd respond like that. Was it just large groups of cast members' friends, or were those people really screaming for joy?
