So I'm sitting here in my LARP gear, damned glad that I bothered to check my e-mail before I went out.

People whose LARP has been cancelled on them at the last minute, what be ye up to tonight? Ashley and I wish to sit in a pub with you, even if there is no debrief to be had.

I would like to retract all previous bitching about today's lack of LARP.

Ashley lives on a street 20 minutes' walk from Shotover, where we LARP.

And today, at 2pm, when I would have been out in the woods if there were a LARP going on, the view from Ashley's window looked like this:





Those yellow lines, that you can barely see through the water? They're bright yellow. There are white parking markings that you can't even see through the water. It is deeper than the kerb and washing over the pavement.
