Feb. 1st, 2006 05:54 pmso finally there might be one of those cartoonish rays of sunlight that filters down through layers of cloud. i'm feeling just that little bit brighter, and my voice is just that little bit bouncier, and a week and a day after i thought "ooh, i feel a bit dodgy; i'll just dose up on painkillers and go out anyway" i've been able to walk around the house without feeling like i'm going to fall over.
hopefully i'll be back in oxford within a week, but when i get back there are going to be changes. unfortunately these include dropping OULES, and LARP as well until it gets warmer. also, i think i'm going to have to stop doing shifts at the shop (argh! i needed the money... i won't go back to That Place this summer, i couldn't bear it). i can't risk getting ill again between now and finals (mid-april).
i did realise something valuable, however. if you gave me two options: on the one hand, all the shiny of the christmas holidays and everything i learnt and was given, followed by two weeks of deathly illness; the other option being mediocrity, november-february, no ashley, no oxgoths, none of you fabulous, fabulous people, no hard, gem-like flame, but no pain either... then i would change nothing.
