- wadham have offered me an interview. already. when i wasn't meant to know 'til 10/12. that's gotta bode well.

so why does it all feel so empty? i have everything i ever wanted - a group of people i love to come to the 'late night double feature picture show' with me, and a vision of oxbridge glory ahead of me. i wanted this.

i guess; marilyn manson was empty. oscar wilde said 'those who look beyond the surface do so at their peril'. he claimed this was because his art was all surface; but of course, he meant that his hidden barbs and dark currents of ideas were dangerous. manson brings the darkness to the surface, and turns himself into self-parody. and anybody who seriously thinks they can get away with a lyric as original as: 'i've got an F and a C and i've got a K too, and the only thing that's missing is a bitch like you' is really gonna be pushing it to act as a serious heavy rock musician live. and, in mOBSCENE, i might as well have played the record and gotten my friends to do a kickline for me. disappointing.

am un-mis. largely due to gatty being merveilleuse and cheering me up, but also due to the fact that i spent this lunchtime drink wine and eating mini-pastires with the guy who discovered marc bolan.

also, realised, have oxford interview!

should probably get to know something about psychology and/or philosophy in the next couple of weeks, then...

on an equally happy note, i persuaded luke to admit that he really, really wanted to shag simon. it might not stand up in court, as i had him in an arm-lock at the time...but, shh, details, details...
