somehow i have ended up with what is, to all intents and purposes, a full-time job filling the entirety of this holiday. this is all very well, and the money will come in more than useful (my overdraft has started hitting 4 figures and i have fear), but it has rather scuppered my plans for revision, self-improvement, &c. i have barely touched all the degree-work that i am meant to be doing, and as for my to-do list on the kitchen wall (including gems such as "relearn piano", "volunteer in charity shop", and "perfect self"), well, there are about 3 ticks in a list of 20 things.

Comfort yourslef with the thought that I've had six months to work on my post-degree to-do list and the only point I've properly managed is "get job I love." And even then it doesn't pay me enough to pay the rent let alone anything else.

Ah, I haven't even got as far as 'get job' which was number one on my holiday to-do list. I have managed to agree to doing four night shifts at the local nursing home, but as I have £23.46 of my overdraft, it won't earn me more than £200 (stupid cheap skate home!) and I promised myself I wasn't going back there I'm not sure it counts as an accomplishment.

perfect self??? Is not self already perfect?

Maybe add some easy things to the end of the list so you can get more ticks? "eat dinner" etc?
