the best way to deal with things, i have always thought, is to retreat as far as possible into one's own fantasy world.

i'm reading 'alice's adventures in wonderland' today.

i'm insulated and incubated by the prestige of my university, by the european court of human rights, by middle-class political correctness. and i'm scared for those of you that aren't.

But, whatever happens, there will always be ducks. And someone to feed them with.
