today, i let the die dictate. first, i rolled a 5 - this was tidying my room for an hour. then, i rolled a 1 - this was writing ladylick's fic for an hour. i admit, i have been a weak follower of the die, given that i spent only 40 minutes tidying my room, that i took a break to make lunch, and that i have now been writing for an hour & a half without re-rolling. neither have i rolled to update - i have merely chosen to do so.

one day after i finish work, i am going to spend 24 hours living entirely by the die - not even eating or sleeping unless i roll it. it is strangely liberating.

you'll never guess what - in other news, i'm reading the dice man. (!)

yesterday i saw the stepford wives with anglo_catholic. it was very funny, and a lot darker than the critics had led me to expect. i was impressed. although the air conditioning in the auditorium was broken. by this, i was not impressed, i was bloody sweltering.

ah, the beauty of it is, you get to choose the options!

i wouldn't have put that down for 5 if i didn't really need to sort that pigsty out. or, you can play russian roulette, have 5 nice options and one nasty one. hehehe.

but you've always got to follow through - you have to do it, if you roll.

i'm worried that this could become addictive...
