so i was gonna do NYT. y'know, finally actually do something instead of sitting around wondering aobut what i could do, one day, when i'm good/when i have the time/when i believe in myself enough.

and then i went on the website & found out i'd just missed the application deadline.

so tonight, i went to the barracudas (kids holiday camp) website, and filled in an application form. i've applied to work all summer at my own school, organising kids in games of football and dance shows while their parents work to scrape together enough money to send them there in the first place.

yeah, i'm selling my soul by doing this. but it'll pay £32 a day for a whole summer's work. with free evenings & weekends. and maybe i'll keep the bakery on as well... we're talking £700 for a summer's work.

a girl can go to university on that kind of money, you know.

kids. i admire your levels of compassion and tolerance. alternatively you could sit in front of a computer screen and take home £50 a day like i did, although office computer geeks take just as much handling as kiddies. still, it removed the need to be enthusiastic at 8am!

ah, but that sounds like it requires some level of competency at..something..

i'm not good at much except making compilation cds, passing exams and laughing at subtexts.
