It's a shame they have to trash other women's work & bodies to do so, but the Scotsman have proclaimed us best burlesque at the Fringe!

(Yes, they miss the point at several points. But it shows that even when people take away something other than we've been intending, they still take away something good & radical!)

Indeed, there is a lot of point missing. But at least they liked it!

And I think if we want a reviewer that *doesn't* trash women's bodies while reviewing burlesque we may have to set up a Queer Feminist Reviewers Collective as well... :)

Although akshually, *puts on cynical hat* it's quite interesting to note that the writer spends several paragraphs taking down Circus Burlesque for being a 'conveyor belt of half-naked women'... and yet somehow a picture of said women is still the one that was chosen to head the article. LOL.

The person who composed the page and chose the picture was probably someone else, who didn't actually read the article. And was a man. And a Tory...
