Merlin!

It seems that I have been hiding out in Dissertation-land for long enough to miss the beginning of a new series of Merlin. Well.

It seems that the D/s slashiness continues unabated, with this week's highlight being Arthur *using Merlin's back as a step* to climb onto his horse. In comparison, the Gwen/Arthur hints just seem so contrived! And Morgana worrying that she's too much of a burden *to her servant* was seriously kinda "awww".

Arthur really is a clueless macho tit in the tradition of James T Kirk.

Merlin: "I just want Arthur to trust me, and see me for who I really am! Everything I do is for him and everyone just thinks I'm an idiot!"

And when did Mackenzie Crook get so *pretty*? Maybe it's the dark eyes, feathers, and magic powers... trying to turn Merlin to the dark side... "Arthur will tremble at your voice, he will kneel at your feet" "I don't want that" Omnomnom.

liminereid is the goddess of proof-readers. I am now actually in a position where I have a hand-in-able piece of work. Today I will read the whole thing through from start to finish (erk!) and send it off to my supervisor. Then I have to write my "reflections on the dissertation process" and start to make final decisions about formatting and printing and handing in..

If all goes to plan - and this is a big if, you understand - I shall be going to London on Wednesday, abusing my parents' printing facilities overnight, and handing in on Thursday morning.

It's all beginning to feel a little anti-climactic. Unreal. I've been focusing on this for so long, I'm not sure what life is like without a low-level patina of panic. But I am so full of good intentions...

Am I ever glad that I don't/didn't have to write that. The temptation to be honest would be almost unbearable...

EPISODE OF GLORY!

I was watching it when happydork, and total highlight was when after about 15 minutes of the boys, happydork exclaims 'where are the womens?', and then we immediately got Morgana in her fevered dream, waking up afraid. Egging her on, happydork says 'call for Gwen!' and in rushes Gwen to cuddle Morgana.
*Happydork controls the bbc with her slashbrain!!!*

I am just now reading this having just arrived back in Oxford >_< but I should have more free time, now, and more London-travelling is almost a given! Especially for awesome gigs / club nights, so let me know if any are coming up...

Ace I will let you know when there are awesome things happening down at Goldsmiths. You can help me give the feminist society a kick up the bum. Their freshers' week activity kinda vanished into thin air today and I still don't know what happened. Humph, I wanted to go and cut up clothes and instigate a plan of getting Bitch magazine sold at the uni.
