Emma, you are writing your dissertation proposal about open-access journal publishing.

So how, in the last three hours of study, have you wound up reading about stimulus packages to banks in the 'developing' world?

If you carry on like this, you will never get your proposal in on time..

Interesting. I am currently looking at journal usage from a professional perspective (I do work for COUNTER, OUP and others in the space)...

Interesting indeed. It's a bit nebulous at the moment because I'm still putting the proposal together, but yes. I'm writing about about how lots of work is going into open access / encouraging syndicates for subscription so that 'developing' world countries can get access to 'developed' world knowledge, but that the flow is not going both ways.

I encourage you to look at the PEER Project - http://www.peerproject.eu/ - which we bid (unsuccessfully) for.

Interesting - also interesting username suggesting you're familiar with the Downfallen Realm...

Which part of OxJ do you work for?
