I know I'm coming to this later than a lot of my lady-flist, what with the not bleeding for a year & all, but seriously - if you've managed to miss this for even longer than I did, go and buy one. Now. You can get them in the Boots on Cornmarket Street, but they're actually marginally cheaper by mail-order anyway.
I am normally super-paranoid about leaks & things, to the extent of tampon+pad on heavy days, but, on only my second day wearing the mooncup, I was happy to leave the house for a day out at the zoo without carrying any spare protection. It is magic I tell you! Wearing it feels completely safe and not at all dirty. Kinda liberating. Do you know what? It also makes me very much into an earth mother hippy type - never before have I been one to feel things like "ooh, my vagina is kinda amazing" but, y'know, magic muscles! And no more putting tampons in the sea, ever, so I feel very hippyish/virtuous on that front, too. Yay. And that's all most of you will ever need to know about my vagina.
