Apr. 1st, 2007 06:32 pmhmm.. would anyone be interested in popping to a pub or G&Ds for a bit later? My rigidly-timetabled Day Off from revision has currently been upheld by sitting in front of my laptop for nine hours, and I'm beginning to feel there might be more to life.

Date: 2007-04-08 08:28 am (UTC)Otherwise.. there are always good gigs & club nights going on at the zodiac (http://www.the-zodiac.co.uk/), if that floats your boat. G&Ds, the late-night-opening ice-cream cafes, are definitely worth a visit; there's one on St Aldates opposite Christ Church, and there's one on Little Clarendon Street, just along from the University Admissions Office. Good pubs include the Turf (hidden down a little alley off Holywell St (just opposite the Holywell Music Room), try the Old Rosie, and sit outside by the huge fires you can toast marshmallows on), the Star (a little out of the way, on Rectory Road off Cowley Road, but a great place to hang out pre-Zodiac, and is ALWAYS playing good music), and the Mitre (at the top of the high street - Wilde's favourite, it's also a restaurant, necessary Oxford experience or something).
Whereabouts are you staying? What are you up in Ox for?
