apparently, itunes are getting good for backing tracks. i need a backing track. i don't have itunes. this is where you come in:

could someone please obtain for me the backing track for "You Gotta Have A Gimmick" from Gypsy? pretty please? i will repay in sexual favours / ice-cream.

(backstory: we're putting on a Queer Cabaret in 6th week. We have a trumpeter, some fairy lights, and a ballet dancer.. so the song seemed perfect. Now we have our hearts set on it, and it turns out that OULES' resident Ethel Merman fan can't furnish us with the backing track.. last resort, flist!)

I have found it on www.stageplays.co.uk price is £12.99 first class postage (3/5 days) £4.39 second class postage (6/9 days) £4.23. alternatively we could wait till saturday and I could send my sister to chappells on bond street and see if they have it. Or does someone have the music software which means you can remove vocal lines from cd tracks.

Just chatted to my brother (currently doing a music technology/electronic engineering degree) who says that it's really very very hard indeed to remove vocal lines from cd tracks.
