I'm looking for something; I hope you can help me.

I need a rectangle of floor, c. 4ft by 3ft, in Oxford;
- no further than 20mins walk from the RSL (opposite Keble)
- preferably covered by matress or cushions
(but as edinburgh & cambridge proved, i can happily sleep on carpet or even hardwood)
- somewhere that won't inconvenience users of the rest of the room
- somewhere I'd be able to get to sleep at a reasonable hour
(I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, but no week-long parties, please!)

Do any of you have such a rectangle? The more people have such a rectangle, the fewer nights I'd need to spend imposing on any given rectangle. Ideally I need a rectangle between the nights of the 24th and 27th of September, as I've got a job bookmoving in the RSL, but can't get into my college room until the 28th. If no-one has such a rectangle lying around anywhere, I'll just crash with Ashley and get the bus in, which is no great hardship, so don't offer unless it really is no trouble at all, I don't want to put anyone out.

You can sleep in the Room Of The Mysterious Third Housemate Who No-One Knows If She's Ever Even Coming Or Not, and if she shows up, well, I've only had a week to mess up the carpet in my room, so it's still relatively clean...

ooh, you tempt me with your beautiful house! how many nights would i be welcome for if i were to take you up on your oh-so generous offer? (ps if it helps to swing things I will bring marinated tofu and cook us stir-fry one night. I can also do many other useful things, but then again I'll be working full-time and trying to finish a project write-up so you won't be seeing huge amounts of me.)

I'm not sure who else is coming when, but for all of me, you can stay the whole time! I've just sent an email off to F. (who is the only person I know of, so far, who's actually confirmed to be living there), and can't envision her having too many objections...

Yay! You are fabulous. Say I arrive Sunday (24) evening (you pick a convenient time, and I'll be there) and leave Thursday (28) morning (assuming I can move into my college room c.8.30am, on my way to work)? If your Mystery Housemate turns up, or I think I'm getting in the way, I can bugger off to Ashley's at any time. Huzzah! Thanks you so much!
