Feb. 25th, 2006 04:32 pmInto the Woods and The Ascent of F6 - two amazing student productions in as many days. The former served only to reinforce my Sondheim-love, while the latter made me concede that things can still be amazingly pretty even if I know I'm not getting all the levels of subtlety & politics. Both blew me away with the sheer amount of talent that this tiny town must contain.
I miss acting. Not OULES; well I do miss OULES, but in a different way, a social way. Really I miss performing, of any sort at all. Someone's bidding to put on a Pratchett play next term, Weird Sisters, and I think I might have been born to play Nanny Ogg... and there's suggestion of The Importance of Being Earnest, no, Lady Bracknell dreams still haven't deserted me. But really I want to do musical theatre. I miss singing. A lot. I lost that bit of my drive somewhere, but now it's back. Watching Cabaret the other day reminded me of how I was at school and what I saw in my future: when I go, I'm going like Elsie, and all that.
