I write letters.
Oct. 1st, 2012 02:50 pmDear ASOS,
I've recently started receiving a glossy hundred-page magazine from you every month. I assume that it's being sent to me because I occasionally purchase things from your clothes website.
If you look at my account with your website, you'll see that I've only ever bought things from the "ASOS Curve" range, in sizes 20-22. However, the magazine that you have been sending me does not feature any clothes from this range. In fact, in the 300 pages of fashion magazine that you have pushed, unsolicited, through my letterbox, the only mention of plus-size women was an eighth-page feature on Beth Ditto in the October issue.
The only conclusion I can draw is that you do not consider your "Curve" range to be a fashion range. Why else would you produce a fashion magazine which fails to mention it?
None of the ranges that you feature in your magazine sell clothes that will fit me.
So this email contains two requests:
1. Please remove me from the distribution list for this magazine - it is completely useless to me.
2. Please consider the message you are giving to all your ASOS Curve customers when you send them this magazine - that your website is happy to take their money, but that as a fashion organisation, you're ashamed of them.
