An invitation to mobilisation
Apr. 12th, 2010 01:02 pmLast year, I did May Morning in Oxford - it was very pretty, there were some droogs from the Oxford Mail doing Clockwork Morris, I was sleep-deprived and there was a big fried breakfast and it was all very pleasant.
This year, though, I think I've found something more worthwhile to do with my time - the EDL (English Defence League: sub-BNP nazi thugs) are marching on Aylesbury, and there's an anti-racist carnival there in protest. It's only an hour from Oxford by bus, maybe less if we book ourselves onto a UAF (Unite Against Fascism) transport. I think that this could be very fun to do, especially if there's a group of us - the very hardcore amongst you could even come along after all the May Morning festivities!
Who's with me?
