She did it! She bloody did it!
Remember that petition I was pimping a few weeks ago? It now has over 1,000 signatures, and has attracted press coverage which, while suffering some terminology-fail, is essentially on the side of the good guys. You guys are aweseome - thanks for signing and propogating.
Remember the incredible woman who wrote the damning report about Oxfordshire PCT's illegal policy? She has successfully challenged and changed that policy. The PCT had kept pushing back and back the date of the policy review, but she went in there, and she said - let me quote her -
"They thanked us for the report, apologised for several of the more serious lapses (although they weren't prepared to agree on everything), and asked us if we'd like to get involved in their policy review in July. And when I told them that, actually, July would be too late for them to escape impending litigation, and that they needed to reform *now*, there was a deathly hush."
How much awesome?! This is quite a lot of awesome. So much awesome that I've been forced to use multiple punctuation marks. Surgery for everyone who needs it! Unlimited rice pudding! And a hard-boiled egg!
