Feb. 15th, 2009 11:43 amI was sad, for a while, that I'd had to cancel my burlesque show last night. It was frustrating, to put that much time, effort, and money into something (time, effort, and money that I really didn't have, but that's another story) only to have it not take place.
But last night - the Borderville launch gig, keep up at the back! - was exactly what I needed, and I wonder if performing is not, in fact, the be-all and end-all of What I Need To Do To Be Happy. Because loud music, too much cider, and six hours of dancing seem to produce a similar feeling of rightness, with a lot less attendant stress and anxiety.
With this in mind, I'll be off to see this band on Wednesday. Who's with me?
Have some twinkly twee prettiness to convince you!
