Probably all those of you who would be interested know already, but nevertheless I felt I had to pimp Ben Goldacre. He's saying stuff about science and the meeja that should be bloody obvious; but really, to so many people, often isn't. (And I realise that it's my science-education-from-Forest-and-Oxford privilege that's allowing me to say that it's obvious. I think that everyone should have the kind of education that allows them to evaluate media-science claims for the bollocks they so often are. But they don't. And it's certainly not the fault of the individual that this stuff is so compelling, to so many people. But it is, nevertheless, bollocks.)
