Nov. 7th, 2007 09:51 pmSatin sheets are all very well, but wrapped up in layers of glossy fabric against the cold caused by the still-not-fixed central heating, one can tend to feel a little as if one is in a sleeping bag.
Also, the slippiness of the fabric may be wonderful to the touch, but it's irritating as fuck when the sheet has slipped right off your matress every morning you wake up.
But my rich purple satin bedsheets are just so pretty! I have no desire to do away with them!
And so, as a compromise, in the hope of ameliorating some of the above problems, I have now purchased a standard cotton bedsheet. In chocolate brown. With purple satin pillows & quilt. My bed looks like a cadbury's caramel!
With my chocolate-brown fur throw and my new primark hot water bottle, this room is almost a bearable temerature to sleep in.
G'night!
