Sep. 4th, 2006 09:03 amLast night, for the first time in a month, I slept alone on a matress. (Before that I'd spent a week on the futon in the spare room, a week on a hardwood floor in Cambridge, a week on the carpet in Edinburgh, a week sharing a single bed in Oxford.) And was I relieved and relaxed and rejuvenated? No. I was just terribly disheartened to wake up alone. No all-day rehearsals to dash off to, no need to run up and down the royal mile annoying people until they come to the play, no Ashley... There was no reason to get out of bed, this morning, and no reason to stay there either.
Also this is absolutely stunningly beautiful. It's barely longer than a page of a webcomic, and yet it contains so much lovely. Seriously. I know I love loads of crap, and am the kind of person who would go to see Snakes on a Plane, and y'all have good reason to doubt my judgement - but click this link.
