--does Sartre give us any PROOFS for his assertion that we are 'condemned to be free', or is it just rhetoric?
i so desperately want to make it stand up as an argument against determinism but at the moment i can't. any help appreciated, especially the kind that comes in the next 3-4 hours: i have a tutorial at 5.30 and i'm supposed to be presenting an essay plan on this topic. i want sartre to win. but at the moment he's not winning. i like my free will, and at the moment i can't even prove that it exists!
help, anyone?
