Date: 2005-11-15 06:11 pm (UTC)Anything seems to pass as "natural" if it contains at least .0001% lavender, aloe, etc.. Isn't cyanide "natural?" It seemed to rub Caryl Chessman's body the wrong way.
Health food stores (if you go in for that hippie hemp granola ) have some nice lip balms comprised largely of ingredients such as beeswax, avocado oil, hemp oil, almond oil, and are "flavoured" with things like pepperment, vanilla, or citrus essential oils. Some work better than others. I just got a nice lemon-lime one that I'd be happy to suck on all day. A downside to the truly natural lip balms is that they can go off more quickly than the "natural" ones. Many of the oil bases go rancid after a few months.
Let's not even get started on anti-perspirants. That aluminium may be giving me Alzheimers and cancer of the 'pit, but it works.
