Yes, I'm excited about Harry Potter tonight. Why do you ask? But I'm trying very hard not to get ecstatic: last year I was so excited the book was almost a let-down.

I can't believe it was two years ago today that I met gatty and squeakyorm and everyone.

I had an amazing time in Newquay. I don't know who it was who first described us as "drinkers with an acting problem", but it seems more than ever to be accurate. I had to leave two days early and they'd barely begun to rehearse.

And now I'm here with Kate, busy doing nothing, knowing that in just a few days time I will have to start work in a field full of children.

Still, at least I'll have my copy of HBP to placate them with.
