yeah, i can see me doing panto. it's just my level of ridiculousness and camp.

i'm meeting more and more socially dysfunctional eccentrics. they all seem to be grad students. this means that there is hope for me to be a crazy and friendless academic for the rest of my life. maybe i'll seduce the students with my dazzling intelligence or something. oh, wait. this is not fandom and i am not a female snape. (wouldn't that be fun, though!)

being friendless and tortured is very tempting, actually. but it would be a bit like regression. and i quite like some of the people i've met. hell, today there was a green carnation (do you know how hard it is to supress squees in the lunch queue?) and a conversation about colour perception with wonderfully intelligent people. and then there are the nice, unintimidating people that i am happy to call friends. isn't it funny - somebody as intimidating as me being intimidated everywhere she goes!

but maybe i'll save the friendless eccentricity for when i am a grad student.

damn! i'm meant to be reading mill, not updating my lj. not losing my work ethic already, surely?...

How did singing in chapel go tonight?

Would you be free on this Thursday evening? I'd like to reschedule our intro meeting for Thursday night around 7pm.

[Considering that 2 of our society's 6 members were in chapel choirs, 1 couldn't make it, and one left early to go into London . . . not much got done at today's meeting. Though, we are growing at a quick rate. There were only 3 people at this time yesterday!]

Our numbers are fluctuating rapidly (and I somehow managed to grab a person or two on my course who had no idea what I was talking about when I said I was ditching studying to go to a folklore and fanfic society meeting).

Anyway, clear your schedule for 7 on Thursday, then. I'm going to send out a mass e-mail soon about it. (Yay! I'm so excited.)

Other societies: I noticed above in another thread that you're PPE? I'm thinking of joining the PPE Society (who are having their intro drinks on Wed. night), myself. I don't suppose you want to meet up and go together?

i'm afraid it's PPP, not PPE. so i don't think i'll be going!

the great thing about doing psychology & philosophy is that it gets shortened to 'psy-phi'. you try saying that aloud to people, and see how confused they get!
