"And temptation came unto man and said 'i will make thee as a god'. and man believed temptation, and ate the fruit of the tree of good and evil. thenceforth, man was as a god, with knowledge of the things which are good and the things which are evil. Verily, though paradise was lost, man now knew virtue from evil and knew that he would reattain paradise after death.

But temptation is a false prophet, vain and illusory. for man's knowledge was corrupt and ignorant, stemming from his own prejudice and not the way and truth of the world. as man increased in his conviction, so he found many disciples who wished to partake of his knowledge of the things that are good and the things that are evil.

And it came about that these men wished to share their knowledge with the whole world, so that they too could reattain paradise. but there were many in the world who would not share this knowledge of those things which are good and those things which are evil, who wished to continue living as they saw fit, in their own folly and ignorance. and as man slaughtered, brainwashed and tempted these people with the fruit of the tree of good and evil, paradise was lost for ever."

it's late. i'm in a strange mood and a strange place and i sat in a darkened chapel for half an hour, and look what came out of my head when i got back to my room.
