May. 30th, 2004 09:07 amit is probably not wise to revise for french exams by reading oscar wilde fairy tales translated into said language. however, this is all i did, and friday's exam actually went surprising well.
i am seeing HP3 on tuesday. i am very excited about this. and i'm going to alton towers! yay rollercoaster funtimes.

Lord Henry Wotton
Lord Henry was the first big influence on Dorian Gray. Henry introduced Dorian to his own beauty because he was curious about what affect it would have on the boy. As things turned out, it corrupted Dorian completely, although Henry never learned exactly how much. Still, must have been an interesting "study."
Like Lord Henry, you are witty, charming, and pragmatic to the core. You believe that you are responsible for no one and nothing beyond your own self. You also have a penchant for playing with the minds and lives of others that may point to sociopathic tendencies. You might want to keep an eye on that, lest someone get hurt. But even if they did, you may very well not care.
You're a little scary and kind of twisted, but hella funny. You'd make a great short-term friend.
Which character from The Picture of Dorian Gray are you?

i am slightly worried by my seeming inability to do any revision whatsoever. my concentration has deserted me and my commitment is long gone. hence the fact that i got up at half eight to get some revision done before going away tomorrow, and am now sitting here updating. oh dear.
ukbb5 (wow, look, an acronym that everyone in the whole world will understand!). the fifth series of big brother in the uk should be renamed 'gay brother'. i absolutely adore it. i know that will stop watching i by the end of the week, but at the moment i just like kitten too much. sure, she's totally token in her radical feminist anit-war animal-rights anarchist political-activist lesbianism, but she's damn cool also. and purrdy.

la mort de l'ame
l'amour de larmes
la mort de larmes
l'amour de l'ame
in conclusion: we translate the title of david bowie's song soul love as l'amour de l'ame. but in french that sounds like 'la mort de l'ame', amongst other things. only in french. love=death. the soul=tears. what a language.
