sebastiennethe internet lead on my laptop is quite short. so short, in fact, that i can only put it in one particular position on the dining room table for it to reach. so, when i came down to go online, i thought it was reasonable to expect my sister, who was eating at that one spot, to move to one of the 5 other places around the table.
in this i was sadly mistaken. apparently it makes no difference that she could eat her tea anywhere and i could only plug my laptop in at that one point. i still had to wait until she had finished.
i know it doesn't sound like much, but the way my parents responded when i asked them to ask her to move was actually insulting. i am really offended, and i don't think they realise it.
