is a terrifying little piece of anti-homosexual literature.

but i heard on the lunchtime news that 'civil partnerships' are basically law in the uk.

which is lovely. it's happened so quietly - no massive furore like the US - and it does seem to be marriage in everything but name.

Yup, finaly our government admits that gay / lesbian relationships are nearly as valid as straight ones. (The civil partnership won't carry quite as much legal clout as marriage in pension rights and other little things!).

Now some straights are getting all tetchy, saying it's not fair that gays get civil partnership, cos they don't They only have marriage, and what about the poor heys that don't want to be married, but want their partnership to have legal recognition. Poor dears! GRRRRR THE WHOLE WORLD IS GEARED TOWARD HETS!
