Dec. 29th, 2003 11:17 pmi'm sorry, but too funny not to post.
lotr exhibition today; arwen's clothes made me choke, they were so beautiful, but i was miffed at the lack of details (ie, there was NOTHING) on how they managed minas tirith.
am reading tipping the velvet. is better than i expected - not only is it really engaging, as in i care about the characters in a way i've not felt for a while, but it has much fun victorian detail, and a couple of silly/subtle (depending on how you look at it) oscar wilde references. oh, for gawds sake, she dresses up & works as a pretty renter! at one point, in such garb, she is referred to as 'lord alfred'!
ohh, corsetry & petticoats...
