Eight Days of Happiness - Day Eight

1. Post about something that made you happy today.

2. Repeat for eight days.

3. Tag eight people to do the same.

Yes, I should have posted this yesterday, but I got distracted by [livejournal.com profile] chiasmata's incredible chocolate pudding and Keeley Hawes, well-deserved after a day of brain-breaking data-entry and garden maintenance. Curled up on the sofa with [livejournal.com profile] ayaron and [livejournal.com profile] chiasmata, falling into blissful hyperglycaemic sleep after being up at 5am for May Morning and seeing Clockwork Morris (yes, Morris dancers in cricket whites and braces and bowler hats, with one eye mascara'd, using baseball bats instead of staves) with [livejournal.com profile] crouchinglynx.. to borrow a turn of phrase from various other ljers: "ah, is this not happiness?"

Have a bonus day, then - today I am enjoying working on my website, having finally gotten enough distance from shitty!lecturer to get back to the roots of why I took this module in the first place. [livejournal.com profile] deathbyshinies' brilliant artwork is helping with this; I love this vintage cream-parchment look of the site much more than the slightly unsubtle black-and-red that it had going on before.

seconded! I assume the printed-out SQL query on the Shop pages is for debugging purposes?

it's for showing-my-working, in order to get the marks.

sad, but true.

They actually *mandate* that you have to *print* the *underlying query* on the *generated page*?!?!?!?!?!

It's like someone picked up a copy of "web development for dummies" and took it as a what-not-to-do guide :-(

Well, she said 'if you do this it will make it easier to mark', and I figured there was no point in antagonising her by not doing it, when she's the one who allocates my final mark...

As soon as this assessment is done, I'm porting the useful bits of the website (ie none of the PHP!) elsewhere and washing my hands of the whole debacle.
