the symptoms of heat exhaustion:

* heavy sweating
* paleness
* muscle cramps
* tiredness
* weakness
* dizziness

* headache
* nausea or vomiting
* fainting

well, that was pleasant.

admittedly, it's my own fault, as apparently it's caused by an electrolyte imbalance and i'd spent all day running around in the heat filling myself with sugar and not much else.

it maybe a bit late now, but just drinking water is not the best thing. too much of it all at once may well be what made you sick. you need to replace the salts lost as well as the fluids. you can get re-hydration sachets from a chemist which have the salts that you need, but a cheaper way to do it is to make up about a pint of squash and just add table salt (the squash is there to disguise the taste!). and sip it slowly so that your stomach has a chance to absorb all the bits it needs. then lots of water and sleep!
